The origin of the Clafoutis
The Clafoutis is a famous dessert that appeared in the 19th century and originates from the Limousin region. This specialty was championed by Jules Clarétie, a member of the French Academy who was proud of his origins. Thanks to him, the word ‘Clafoutis’ is listed in the dictionary.
Our pastry chefs, attracted by the sweet and fruity notes of this dessert, revisited it to create a decidedly delicious TART.
Our Morello Cherry Clafoutis Tart is round with a delicate fluted edge and is pre-cut into 10 servings. It is made up of a shortcrust pastry encasing a vanilla-flavoured batter with pitted morello cherries.
Its slightly golden coloured aspect, covered with a shiny glaze, will delight your taste buds as they discover the wealth of flavours contained within it.
Its pre-cut servings make it easier to prepare and serve, being the perfect solution if you want to save time.
Free from preservatives, artificial flavours and colourings, this tart, with its extremely generous recipe, will appeal to all your guests!
